Facebook announced voice calling feature for its messaging app Messenger. This feature is now available in few countries which include Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, the UK, the US and Uruguay. Didn’t find your country in the list? Do not worry. Facebook will soon roll out worldwide update enabling video calling feature on Messenger. This feature is available on Android as well as on iOS.
Video calling will expand Messenger’s real-time communication features, enabling the more than 600 million people who use Messenger every month to reach others wherever they are, from anywhere. It’s fast, reliable and high quality. Video calling in Messenger is available for calls made from a mobile phone to another mobile phone, even if one person is on iOS and the other person is on an Android device,

In recent years, Facebook has started giving more attention to mobile platform. After acquisition of Whatsapp, launching a web portal to establish its messaging app as a standalone app and launching calling app Hello. This is another major progess which confirms that Facebook has shifted its focus on mobile platform.
Facebook also confirmed that it will soon add payment feature to Messenger which will allow people to transfer money through the app. This feature will be available for the users living in US in the beginning.
