Facebook is looking to add more features to its messaging platforms. Facebook has already announced its plans for its chat service. As you know that Facebook is trying to establish Messenger as a standalone platform. This new progress is one step forward towards that direction. Mark Zuckerberg has announced that it is going to give its users a facility to talk directly to brands to gain clarification on products, services or customer care. It seems like Facebook is going to launch this feature on Whatsapp as well.
In its Plans for Messenger, Facebook has mentioned “Business for Messenger” which allows users to chat directly to brands regarding their products and services. For example if you have ordered something on Amazon, you can chat with them through messenger to track your order or to know something else about that.
However this service is only limited to US for selected brands and on Messenger only. It will take a while to make this service available worldwide and on a broad range of brands.
