After months of rumors and about a dozen of alleged leaks, OnePlus 3 is finally here. The Chinese smartphone sensation OnePlus launched their new flagship device today. The biggest highlight of this phone is its enormous 6 GB RAM. Yes, you heard it right. 6 GB RAM in a smartphone. Now lets talk about the things that OnePlus 3 is bringing to the table.
As we just told you, OnePlus 3 packs a 6GB LPDDR4 RAM which is a first for a smartphone. With such heavy RAM you can surely say goodbye to lack of primary storage of your device. To compliment this, the phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and has Adreno 530 for its GPU. Both of them are top of their range. Another unique thing which is advertised as the USP of OnePlus 3 is ‘Dash Charging’. It’s a quick charging feature and claims to charge 60% of the 3000 mAh battery in just 30 minutes. OnePlus 3 runs on Oxygen OS tailored on Android Marshmallow 6.0. It gives a near stock experience. It also has support for finger print scanning. It does not have expandable storage facility, the internal storage capacity is 64 GB.
Now coming to the looks of the device. As we had already seen in the recent leak, OnePlus 3 has premium looks which seems to take inspiration from iPhone and HTC devices. It has a space grade aluminium alloy uni-body and is really slick with the thickness of 7.3 mm. With curved sides, it will be easy to hold. It has a 5.5 inch AMOLED 1080p HD display which promises to give a natural viewing experience.
On the shooting aspect, OnePlus 3 has 16 MP primary camera and 8 MP front camera both with Sony sensors. Thanks to the RAM and processing unit, this device can shoot 4K videos as well.
In India, OnePlus 3 is available for sale on Amazon with a competitive price of INR 27,999 (approx. 417 USD).
